“Doing a good deed for each day”

                                        
Introduction-
As a proverb says “doing a good deed for each day”, from May of 2008 I left Burma for further study and could not be with people in Burma about eleven months. Every year I use to join youths training in teaching them so I feel guilty of myself for not could be able to do this in 2009.By the grace of God my friends Thra Hsar Eh Hsoe (Secretary of Youth Organization in Myaung Mya Karen Baptist Association) invited me for the 1st youths congress which was held at Yin Dwin Yin Gan, Myaungmya Twsp. So I would like to express my heartfelt as below.
Even I am strong in spirit to do that but I don’t have any money for   trip, so I pray to God that I would like to do something for my people in the time of my semester break. So I got some money from my part time job and some from friends in BKK and USA, totally 300 USD. It could not cover my trip for air ticket and other charges so I am not dare to buy anything for young people who I have to teach them and friends who I have to meet on my way going back to my home country.
Inorder to be able to give something for friends and young people I pray to God to provide things that I need for living there .As I thought about it in the night time, I come to know one of my friend who has many extra clothes because she gain more weight and could not wear them, so in the next morning I phoned to her and she agreed to give me some of them. I got 23 Kg of clothes and I have to pay 700 Baht to flight for over weight.

By e grace of God I can give presents to young people and  friends there by  clothes that my friend gave them to me. I could be able joining with Myaungmya Youth Congress, Thayetaw Karen Baptist Church (Rg) Summer youths Camp at Mt. Zwekabin,and Mawlamaying Tawai Youths Camp. I was invited to Karen Baptist Convention Leadership training which was held  in Takrai Karen Karen Baptist Chuch,Karen State but it was on the day I have to return to my university, so I could not join with them.
I have gathering program with my fellows in Rangoon by having eviroment special talk, meeting and having meal with  educated people such as Historical Prof. Hpu Saw Htun Aung Chin, Feminist Theologian  Dr. Hpee Anna May , Hpu Saw Say Pa and P’doh Saw Harraysi. As the time is near for 2010 election, they shared their personal  opinions such as below--
Hpu Htun Aung Chin said—
1. We Karens are not in hopeless situation because we have many opened doors to create opportunities for the future of our people. The things that we need are knowledge and skill that we could be able to create them.
2. As long as Karens are existing  in the world, Karen will never be disappeared.”

Hpee Dr. Anna said—
1.Go with God and do your best, no need to be discouraged of seeing things happening among our people in our country on these days.
Hpu Say Pa said—
1.We did our best in our time so do your best in your time too.
P’doh Saw Harrasy said—
1.We are getting older and older so we believe and trust that young people will continue doing better things for the future of Karen people.

Conclusion—
I could conclude my trip well and my much thanks to God and friends who provided me job, money, clothes and encouragements. I owe much thanks to all my fellows who taking care of me in everything and especially Hpee Anna who is my mentor along my life up to these days. The message that I bring to young people in Burma is “Karens in other countries do not forget you”. The response that I got from these young people is “We all believe that one day our dream of freedom would  come true.”In the year to come my friend who gave me clothes promise to give me more clothes so I am very happy for that too. I am very happy for could be to do this small good deed and in the year to come I wish to continue do it too. Eventhough I can’t do much thing for my people, I will try my best as I am.
